These terms govern your use of Kit Book (kitbook.app and the iOS/Android app). By using Kit Book you agree to these terms. The service is provided by Kit Book, Lithuania.

The service

Kit Book is a personal gear catalogue app for outdoor enthusiasts. It helps you track your gear, calculate life cycle costs, build packing lists, and manage your wishlist.

The app is available free with limits, and as a paid Pro subscription through the iOS App Store and Google Play.

Free tier

Up to 20 owned gear items
1 saved trip
Data sync to your account (text data only, no photo backup)
Full access to LCC tracking, wishlist, and pack builder within these limits

Kit Book Pro

Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription, purchased through the App Store or Google Play.

Unlimited trips
Photo backup and sync across devices
AI gear auto-fill (powered by Serper.dev and Anthropic)
Priority features as they ship

Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase in the app. Founding offer pricing (€15/year) is available to early subscribers and may be discontinued at any time for new subscribers.

Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically. You can cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Your data is never deleted when you cancel. If your Pro subscription lapses, items beyond the 20-item free limit become read-only. Resubscribing restores full access instantly.

We do not offer refunds beyond what is required by applicable law or the platform's own refund policies (Apple/Google).

Your data

You own your data. We do not claim any rights over the gear information, photos, or notes you enter into Kit Book. You can export your data at any time from Settings - Export Backup, and delete everything permanently from Settings - Danger Zone - Delete Account.

By saving an item with a brand, model, and weight, you agree that the basic gear specs (brand, model, type, weight) may be contributed anonymously to the Kit Book community gear database to help other users.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
Use the service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data

Kit Book is a personal catalogue tool intended for individual use.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will not delete your data without notice except as required by law or in response to a verified deletion request from you.

Limitation of liability

Kit Book is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for Kit Book in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania and the European Union. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Lithuanian courts, without prejudice to your rights as an EU consumer.
